Aha Moments

Some 'lightbulb' or AHA! moments for me over the course of EDFD459 The Learning Space.

I think I have definitely extended on my understanding and appreciation of communities of practice since I first explored this in EDFD460 Creativity & Imagination in Education.

My understanding of this fundamentally important aspect of education has deepened and it is something I would advocate for in my own practices.

I have reflected a lot on learning spaces and my own understanding of a place for learning has changed. Whilst I have always believed that learning takes place within the classroom and as children interact with the world around them, I think that the way that I value and make use of the learning opportunities beyond the classroom has evolved.

I have also enjoyed reflecting on the liminal learning space. Whilst I am still grappling to define this concept for myself, I think it is valuable to understand that learning is rarely a neat and defined journey, but rather a pathway that may be filled with 'speedbumps' and AHA moments such as these.
